The oldest hotel in the Slovak Republic is located just four kilometres from the centre of Kosice, yet here you suddenly find yourselves in the middle of deep forests in fresh air, where in the morning, you open a window and can hear tunes of local birds singing. There are several hiking trails that can be used as bike paths and the asphalt paths are also good for roller-skating or walking with a stroller (child buggy).
Famous guests have visited the hotel, such as Luciano Pavarotti, Gipsy Kings, former President of Slovakia, the USA Ambassador in Slovakia and other well known actors and singers. Lujza restaurant is named after the beautiful woman of a military officer, who lived in Bankov in the 19th and 20 century.
